Tripura releases appointment of 158 graduate teachers

Agartala: In a bid to boost the quality of education and meet the shortage of teachers, the Tripura government announced the appointment of 158 graduate teachers on Thursday.

According to the appointment letter issued by Chandni Chandran, Director of Secondary Education, 158 teachers will have to report for their duty at the place and posting by July 11 and submit their joining report.

However, the appointment is subject to verification of character and antecedents by the competent authority in due course of time.

If any of the candidates fail to join his/her place of posting within the period as mentioned above or in the event of submission of wrong/false certificate/information, the offer of appointment issued in his/her favour shall stand automatically cancelled.

In 2019, 12,222 vacancies were created through a gadget notification from the education department addressing the shortage of teachers in the state. But in 2019, a small number of teachers were recruited as more than 1000 candidates passed. There is a shortage of teachers in the schools
