Agartala: The health and family welfare department has announced the names of shortlisted candidates for Community Health Officer (CHO).
The recruitment will be on contractual basis at a fixed pay for one year which may further be extended based on performance or till project period
In a memorandum, Dr Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, Mission Director, National Health Mission informed that the candidates shortlisted will be called for document verification, counseling and IGNOU form fill up
The shortlisted candidates list includes 91 from general category, 31 from schedule caste category and 58 from schedule tribe category.
The candidates selected through Competency Assessment Test (CAT) will have to go through a 6-months certificate course on community health (CCCH) in the July, 2022 session.
This course is part of an initiative under the National Health Mission to strengthen Sub-centres as Health and Wellness Centres (H&WCs) for improved implementation of public healthcare programme and to enable comprehensive primary health care service delivery, including disease prevention and health promotion.
After completion of the training, selected candidates will be posted at Sub Centres as Community Health Officers (CHOs)
