TBSE announces results for both Secondary and Higher secondary examinations 2024
The results of the secondary and higher secondary examinations conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education were published on Friday. On this day, the president of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education, Dr. Dhananjay Gana Chowdhury, announced the examination results at a press conference held in the board's conference hall.
At the press conference, the board president stated that a total of 33,739 students from 1,083 schools in the state appeared for the secondary examination this year. Among them, the number of male students were 15,782 and the number of female students were 17,957. This year, a total of 29,534 students passed the secondary examination, with a pass rate of 87.54 percent. The board president mentioned that the pass rate for the secondary examination last year was 86.32 percent. He also noted that the pass rate for 310 schools in the state was 100 percent. However, there were 16 schools where no students passed the examination.
Based on district-wise information, Gomati district ranked first in the secondary examination with a pass rate of 92.96 percent. South Tripura district came second with a pass rate of 92.91 percent, followed by West Tripura district in third place with a pass rate of 91.13 percent.
At the press conference, the president of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education also stated that this year, a total of 25,350 students from 408 schools in the state appeared for the higher secondary examination, of which 20,095 students passed. The pass rate for the higher secondary examination was 79.27 percent. Last year, the pass rate for the higher secondary examination was 83.52 percent. The board president mentioned that 39 schools in the state achieved a 100 percent pass rate in the higher secondary examination, while there were 13 schools where no students passed.
According to district-wise information, Sepahijala district ranked first in the higher secondary examination with a pass rate of 84.25 percent. West Tripura district came second with a pass rate of 82.57 percent, followed by South Tripura district in third place.
According to the announced results, the pass rate for the secondary examination increased slightly compared to last year. On the other hand, the pass rate for the higher secondary examination decreased by about 4 percent compared to last year.
