Tafazzal Hussain expressed gratitude to Dr. Manik Saha and Narendra Modi after a historical win in Boxanagar.

After 35 long years, the red fort was demolished in Sepahizlar's Buxnagar. The people of Boxnagar were freed from the misrule of the CPIM party. Since 1988, the CPIM party has been winning consecutively in Buxnagar. Their record was broken in the 2023 by-election. Bharatiya Janata Party won the Boxnagar assembly seat by a huge margin. BJP candidate Tafazzal Hossain created history by winning with a huge margin of 30 thousand 237 votes. With the inspiration of the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and following the path shown by the Chief Minister of the state Dr. Manik Sahar, Gerua Abir flew to Boxnagar after many years. A long chapter of CPIM rule came to an end on Friday. CPIM won this seat in the assembly elections in March this year. However, Shamsul Haque, the CPIM MLA of Boxnagar passed away on July 18. That is why the by-elections were held in Boxnagar assembly constituency on September 5. Mizan Hossain, the son of the late MLA, contested as a CPIM candidate against BJP candidate Tafazzal Hossain. After getting only 3 thousand 909 votes, his security was confiscated. Boxnagar polling went off without a hitch in a festive mood amid three-tier security. The result of that by-election was published on Friday. People understood that development is not possible in Boxnagar through CPIM. Only a double engine government can bring real development to the state. The winning MLA of Boxnagar, Tafazzal Hussain, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Manik Saha and the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, on Friday. He said that he will work tirelessly for the overall improvement of the people here.

The BJP's victory in the Buxnagar by-election is seen by the state's political circles as a reflection of the growing support of citizens for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
