Meeting of Poverty elevation related Standing Committee of West Tripura Zilla Parishad held

Agartala: The meeting of Poverty elevation related Standing Committee of West Tripura Zilla Parishad was held today at the conference hall of the Zilla Parishad. The meeting was presided over by Sabhadhipati of the Zilla Parishad Antara Sarkar Deb in presence of the members of the Standing Committee and officials of different departments. District officer of Fisheries department in the meeting informed that assistance has been provided to 7 thousand 869 families of the district under Chief Minister Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana for mixed fish farming in the previous financial year. Apart from that, the beneficiary fish farmers were also provided with training for fish farming in scientific way. Assistance and training will be provided to 5 thousand 869 families of the district under the same scheme in the present financial year as well. Fisheries department has taken plans for repairing of old ponds of total 40.6 Ha area for 218 families of the district in the present financial year.

Official of the Fisheries department also informed that bank loans will be provided on subsidy to 175 families for fish farming through Biofloc process in the district under Mukhyamantri Nibir Matsya Chash Prakalp this year. Assistance for fish farming will be provided to 431 families of the district under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana as well. Also, under Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojana (PM AJAY), 466 families of the district will be provided with assistance for fish farming this year.

Official of Drinking Water & Sanitation department informed in the meeting that plans have been taken to provide drinking water connection through pipeline to 16 thousand 997 families of the district under Jal Jeevan Mission this year. 1 thousand 825 households have been already provided with drinking water connection recently.

Official of the Labour department informed that e-Shram cards have been provided to 1 lakh 43 thousand 395 families of the district so far. Apart from that, 1 thousand 785 families have been brought under construction workers scheme in the previous financial year.

Official of Horticulture & Soil Conservation department informed that plans have been taken to provide assistance to 24 thousand 404 families of the district for fruit and vegetable cultivation under Chief Minister Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana in the present financial year. Dragonfruit, tobacco, lemon and Mosambi on 152.10 Ha land of the district under MGNREGA in the present financial year. The official also informed that Marigold will be cultivated on 60 Ha land, Gladiolus will be cultivated on 14 Ha land, Prime Rose will be cultivated on 14 Ha land and Rose will be cultivated on 8.4 Ha land of the district this year.
