CM to inaugurate 20th state-level Buisu Festival

Agartala, Apr 12: Two-day 20th state-level Buisu Festival will commence at Hokutwisa English Medium Higher Secondary School ground in Dhumucherra of Tripura’s Dhalai district on Wednesday.
 
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will inaugurate the festival to be organized with the initiative of Tripura Chubalai Buthu in presence of Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs Bishweswar Tudu.

Tribal Welfare Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia, MP Rebati Tripura, Food Minister Manoj Kanti Deb, ICA Minister Sushanta Choudhury,  Samajpati of Tripura Society Birendra Tripura, former MP Jitendra Choudhury, MLA Dhananjoy Tripura will remain present as special guests.

The two-day festival will be celebrated in a grand manner followed by cultural programmes, traditional games and sports, awareness-based seminar, blood donation camp and cultural exhibition.
A good number of stalls will put up by various departments carrying information about various departmental activities and schemes.

The two-day festival will be presided over by president of Tripura Chubalai Buthu Sachnidra Tripura.
A high-level committee and an executive committee have been formed for smooth conduct of festival.
Royal Scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya will inaugurate the closing ceremony on April 14.

Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region B. L. Verma will remain present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony.

CEM of TTAADC Purna Chandra Jamatia, MP Rebati Tripura will remain present as special guests at the event. MLA and Chairman of Manu Block Advisory Committee Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl will remain present as the guest of honour.

Meanwhile, the Tripura government earlier announced holiday on the occasion of Buisu, a festival of Tripuri Community.
