Tripura current government is serious about raising the quality of football above all by awakening football, developing football infrastructure and exploring new talent. In order to take forward the sports field in the state, the State Government's Department of Youth Affairs and Sports has given utmost importance to infrastructural development and as part of this, the construction of a world class "Synthetic Football Turf" football ground at Umakant Maidan in the capital Agartala under the financial support of the State Government is nearing completion. The construction of world-class "Synthetic Football Turf" at a cost of 5 (Five) crores is almost complete to realize the long-time dream of the football lovers of the capital Agartala. It will be inaugurated soon.
Today afternoon at Umakanta Maidan, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury visited the construction site of this world class "Synthetic Football Turf" field. After talking to the officials involved in the construction of this "Synthetic Football Turf, Minister Sushanta directed to complete the remaining work of the construction of this "Synthetic Football Turf" as soon as possible.
During today's visit, Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, Director Subikash Debbarma, Joint Director Paimong Mog, Deputy Director Banjit Bagchi, Biplab Dutta and others were present with the Minister.
