3,686 candidates clears TET, recruitment process shortly: Ratan Nath
Agartala: The recruitment process for teachers in various schools in Tripura is set to begin soon. The results of TET 1 and TET 2 exams and STGT and STPGT exams have been announced today, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said.
Nath claimed that 3056 teachers have been appointed in Tripura after the change of government. Another 2622 posts of teachers are vacant.
Speaking at a press conference, the education minister said that the school education department recruits teachers through TRBT. The results of TET and STGT and STPGT exams have been released today.
He said that 11221 people took the TET-1 test, among them, 1,061 of them have passed. TET-2 14439 people took the exam and 2625 passed. He added that the education department has sought candidates from TRBT for the recruitment of 175 undergraduate and 63 postgraduate teachers.
According to him, 3025 candidates appeared for the post of graduate teacher and 696 passed. Similarly, 163 candidates appeared for the post-graduate examination and 140 passed. According to him, TRBT will propose to the education department to appoint teachers on the basis of merit list.
He said that now the documents of TET 1 and TET 2 passers will be verified. After that TRBT will give their certificate. He said the validity of the TET certificate has been extended for life. Therefore, the department will appoint TET passers as required.
He added that since the change of government in Tripura, 132 postgraduate, 1313 undergraduate, 1171 primary level undergraduate teachers and 450 undergraduate teachers have been appointed.
A total of 3,056 teachers have been recruited and another 2,622 vacancies remain. The education department will take steps to appoint him, he claimed. With his further claim, there is not a single unemployed person who has passed TET in Tripura.
